Project: Maple Canyon Restoration Ph 1 & 2 Owner: City Of San Diego Contract Amount: $3,600,000
Scope of Work: The Maple Canyon project began with clearing and grubbing, followed by excavation and fill to prepare the site. Wing headwalls were constructed, and concrete pavement curb inlets, catch basins, and an energy dissipator were installed to manage water flow. Streambed restoration was carried out to improve the natural environment, while sidewalk and curb & gutter removal and replacement (R&R) were completed. New curb ramps were also added for pedestrian access, and a pedestrian bridge was constructed to enhance connectivity. Guardrails, decking, and fencing were installed for safety, alongside the construction of a storm drain system. Tree removal was necessary to accommodate the work, and landscaping was completed to restore the area and improve its appearance.
